Dear Regent Park Homeowner,

After analyzing the 2011 budget and our projected expenses for 2012, for the Regent Park Community Owners Association, the Board of Directors voted to increase the RPCOA dues for 2012 to an annual assessment of $495.  This is the first such increase since 2010.  The dues will be due in full on January 1, 2012 and considered delinquent on February 1, 2012.  For your convenience, payments can be paid by check (returned with the coupon provided) or by credit card on the William Douglas website at www.wmdouglas.com.

The association, like everything else, continues to be more expensive to operate each year as costs related to the expenses also increase year over year.  The board worked extensively this year on identifying additional cost savings in the current budget as well as on long-range planning initiatives that will benefit the community.  We have identified and cut unnecessary tax and utility expenses from our the budget as well as developed a road paving schedule for all the private roads within the community which includes cost estimates associated with the large scale paving project.  We have also planned for upcoming pool repairs and improvements.

This was a very difficult decision for the board to make; as we fully understand that many are still struggling at this time, but we felt that we must continue to plan for the future needs of the community as well.  This modest increase will allow us to balance the residents’ needs with the goal of maintaining the community as a premier housing community in York County.

Sincerely,

Regent Park Community Owners’ Association

Board of Directors
